Sarah Bowen, PhD (she/her) is a clinical psychologist and has served on the faculties of University of Washington and Pacific University. Over the past 20 years, she has been involved in research on mindfulness-based interventions for addictive behaviors, in capacities of treatment development, adaptation and implementation, clinical training and supervision, and as co-investigator and principal investigator on multiple NIH clinical trials. She is lead author of the Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) clinician guide and of numerous papers resulting from multiple trials. She has mentored several graduate students, postdocs, and early career clinical researchers, and leads professional trainings for research and clinical professionals in mindfulness-based treatment for addictive behaviors in the U.S. and internationally.
