Sakina Khalid is a Clinical Fellow at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. She completed her bachelor’s at Pennsylvania State University where she studied biochemistry with a minor in psychology, and currently attends Tufts University School of Medicine. She has a background in translational and clinical research spanning neuroscience, pediatric cardiac surgery, developmental biology, and cancer biology. Her interests center on integrating evidence-based medicine with compassionate, patient-centered care and advancing interdisciplinary approaches to improving health outcomes.
Sakina is passionate about the role of mindfulness in promoting resilience, well-being, and meaningful human connection. She is particularly interested in how mindfulness-based practices can support both patients and healthcare professionals in navigating stress, chronic illness, and life's challenges while fostering compassionate, whole-person care.
