Week 8 Recap - “Connection, Communication, and Community”
Dear All,
Congratulations! You are now all alumni of MTPC! It meant a lot to hear people's final reflections on Tuesday evening.
Home Practice
The 8th week is actually the rest of your life! Go back to the guided recordings from time to time and make the practice your own. Know that you can always take refuge in the present moment. Continue practicing kindness and compassion. Above all else, be patient with yourself. These tools can help you face each day with more resilience, ease and joy. As you move on in your lives, remember that you can always start again.
Keeping in Touch
1) You will now be added to our alumni email list and receive monthly updates. If you ever wish to be removed from this list, just write us an email (mmhs@challiance.org) saying you would like to unsubscribe. This mailing list will be our main method of informing you of upcoming alumni events and contacting you for interest in further courses.
2) The next cycle of the CMC “Strengthen Your Practice” group will begin in April 2021. This group is composed of alumni who would like a community to keep up with as they continue their own mindfulness practice. It will run 1 hour per week for a period of 12 weeks. You may continually re-enroll if you are finding the group helpful.
3) In the meantime, we have daily online community meditations free of charge on the CMC website. Those can be found here.
Resources & Links
CMC collects additional resources here, including books, guided meditations and videos.
Here is a link to our publicly available program offerings, which are available 50% off to CHA patients.
As our group leaders mentioned on Tuesday, CMC has strong relationships with mindfulness organizations in the area, including Cambridge Insight Meditation Center, Insight Meditation Society and Cambridge Zen Center. While each of these options are largely secular and welcome interested participants from any faith background, their origins are more openly Buddhist as compared to CMC.
Final Note
We look forward to keeping in touch and hope to see you at future events.
May you all be free from suffering.
Warmly,
Ian and the MTPC Team
