Kimia Grigoriev, ALM is a Research Fellow at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion (CMC) and a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She earned her ALB ’23 cum laude and ALM ’25 in Psychology from Harvard University Extension School. A licensed nurse with experience in geriatric and psychiatric care, Kimia also serves as a Behavior Interventionist and has more than a decade of experience as an educator, nonprofit leader, and public speaker.
Her research and advocacy focus on neurodiversity, trauma, grief, and mental health, with particular interest in depression, anxiety, and suicidality. She is committed to expanding access to inclusive, evidence-based care and has led community-based initiatives that integrate education, research, and public policy to reduce stigma and improve outcomes for underserved populations. In addition, she has a strong interest in the therapeutic potential of the human–animal bond and hopes to integrate Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) into her future clinical practice.
Kimia is the proud mother of two human children and one very cherished but anxious rescue cat child.
