Julia Zalvino (she/her) is a Clinical Coordinator at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion (CMC), where she supports Mindful Mental Health Services (MMHS) programming and patient coordination. She graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Nutrition. Her research background includes work related to mindfulness, self-compassion, trauma, body image, and eating-related concerns. Julia hopes to pursue a career in medicine and is especially interested in how contemplative practices can be thoughtfully integrated into person-centered mental health care. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, caring for plants, spending time in nature, and practicing yoga.
