Éowyn Ahlstrom, M.Ed., LMT, RYT, is a teacher, massage therapist and author who facilitates programs in mindfulness, meditation and yoga, thus offering individuals and organizations pragmatic guidance and support for integrating contemplative awareness into modern life. She is the author of Mindscapes: Practice Poems as well as a forthcoming volume on mindful movement. In addition to her Master's degree in Health & Wellness Education, Éowyn has qualifications as licensed massage therapist, a registered yoga teacher, and is certified to teach both Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT). Éowyn teaches MBSR teacher training courses at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, mindful yoga for retreats at the Insight Meditation Society and the Cambridge Insight Meditation Community, and silent mindfulness retreats at the Copper Beech Institute. Here at the Center for Mindfulness & Compassion, she co-developed and is currently piloting an 8-week course titled In this Body: An Embodied Approach to Awareness Practices and consults and teaches MBSR for research projects.
