Elaine Pan is a research fellow at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. She is currently pursuing her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida, with a double minor in Public Health and Children’s Behavioral Healthcare. At CMC, she supports studies exploring meditation and other mindfulness-based interventions in relation to mental health and trauma. 

Beyond research, Elaine works directly with communities surrounding underserved populations to increase health literacy and make healthcare information more accessible. She is the Founder and President of the Health Literacy Initiative and Co-President of Florida MedConnect, where she leads initiatives that have engaged over 1,000 students in research, mentorship, and community engagement.

In her free time, Elaine enjoys exploring coffee shops, going to the beach, and trying to create new matcha recipes!
