Beth Mullen-Houser, PhD is a clinical psychologist and joined CHA as a Center for Mindfulness and Compassion research fellow with a passion for exploring mind-body interactions. She brings to CHA 30 years of practicing and teaching meditation as well as a psychoneuroimmunology research focus examining psychotherapy processes and modeling interactions between biological, psychological and social bases of individual differences in reactivity to stress in postpartum depression, cancer and other immune-mediated diseases. 

Beth is Level 2 trained in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, staffs IFS trainings, presents IFS continuing education workshops including podcast episodes and leads a quarterly international IFS research journal club.  She maintains an IFS-focused therapy and consultation practice across the US through PsyPact.

Beth can often be found hiking, hosting bonfire potlucks, reading or playing table-top games with her partner, son and pup in the beautiful Driftless area of Wisconsin.  Beth is deeply committed to recognizing and addressing the many forms of bias as well as holistic, equitable and ethical research and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization aligned with these values.
