VOICES
Vocalizing Oppression and Interconnection in Contemplative and Embodiment Spaces

A home to express and establish culturally meaningful healing and care for
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color

VOICES is a community-based participatory research project and a home for community-based learning and healing. We invite participation from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color leaders who engage their communities in healing, contemplation, or deep reflection in any form — dance, sound, mindfulness, meditation, movement, prayer, compassion, dialogue, and others. Central to the research will be community dialogues about healing practices that uplift culture, our connection to our bodies (interoception), overcoming trauma, and reclaiming power. VOICES is also a place to come and learn about community-based research, and an online home for stories, art, and resources about healing.
