At the Cambridge Health Alliance Center for Mindfulness and Compassion (CMC), we are leading an initiative to better understand and work with pain from a mindfulness perspective. A growing body of research suggests that mindfulness and compassion related trainings can be an effective method for easing pain-related symptoms.

If you are in pain, or know someone who is, our center is dedicated to providing valuable resources to ease pain - offering 8-week courses and working on Research related to Mindful Self-Compassion and Chronic Back Pain
