Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Course

MSC 8-Week Course:  Together, mindfulness and self-compassion comprise a state of warm, connected presence during difficult moments in our lives. Mindfulness is the first step—turning with loving awareness toward difficult experience (thoughts, emotions, and sensations).  Self-compassion comes next—bringing loving awareness to ourselves. MSC is co-developed by Dr. Christopher Germer, a senior adviser of the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. For an overview of the themes for the 8 weeks of the course, accompanied with guided meditations, visit the Center for MSC websiteAll levels of experience with mindfulness and meditation are welcome.

For the course orientation, we will be holding an open hour-long overview of Mindful Self-Compassion on Monday, April 10 from 12-1pm. This brief orientation is open to all interested in MSC or currently enrolled in the spring course. Retreat: held at Cambridge Hospital Learning Center A/B on Saturday, June 10, 2017, 9:30-1:30 pm (details will come from instructors during course)
